'Frozen woman' in parked car turns out to be mannequin
BY HV NEWS STAFF • ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED 12/21/16
What was reported to police as an elderly woman apparently frozen to death inside a parked car in the City of Hudson, turned out to be a mannequin.
Last Friday, police responded to the call at a car covered with snow with what appeared to be an elderly woman wearing an oxygen mask in the passenger seat. The woman, they said, was unresponsive.
An officer broke the rear window and opened the door to discover the woman was indeed a life-sized mannequin used in CPR training.
The owner of the vehicle eventually returned to his car and explained that he is a sales representative for a company that makes medical training devices. The owner, who has not been identified, was apparently “quite vocal and vulgar” to the city’s sergeant for breaking the car window. No charges have been filed.
